A.  We suggest an annual window and door maintenance inspection in the springtime along with other visual inpections around the home. Here is a simple solution: Check that all hardware (locks, opening mechanisms, etc.) operates smoothly and are aligned correctly and most importantly - Make sure any exposed hardware screws are tightened securely. Clean any sand, dirt or dust from door and window hinges, sills and tracks.Also examine the window's interior and exterior finishes etc. as an occasional repair to a damaged finish may be necessary.
